Graduate Recruitment

As the burgeoning NZ IT industry continues to sap available resources we must look at alternatives to supply critical shortages.

University graduates without any commercial experience are of course one avenue of supply and we can provide these to you.

At Icon though we are going one step further and through careful selection, are sourcing candidates identified as being suitable for specialist training programmes. This will provide employers with graduates who not only have sound academic skills but also have specialist commercial IT training.

Graduate Training Programs

ICON has developed a graduate-training program, especially for enhancing Test Analysis skills. This program, which has proven to be highly successful in New Zealand and Australia, has resulted in the placement of 20 test graduates in Wellington over recent years.

We will again be running a Test Analyst training programme soon. Graduates will be available for employment in a contract capacity in November of this year.

Training will incorporate:

• an introduction to testing
• the software testing life cycle
• testing techniques and types of testing
• testing processes and documentation

The Course Objectives are to have a good:

• understanding the software development life cycle
• knowledge of the concepts and principles of software testing
• understanding of testing methodologies and testing techniques
• knowledge of testing documentation
